About Ted Mathis, MA, LPC

Although I see clients for a wide variety of issues, I specialize in couple's counseling and in EMDR counseling for survivors of trauma and abuse. Having been married for decades, I have a rich variety of life-experiences to draw from to help clients work on skills for making their marriage the best it can be. I have specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and extensive experience in dealing with the after-effects of trauma and abuse including PTSD and anxiety-related mental disorders. After 32 years in my first career, I decided to return to school and earn a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling, which I completed in December 2009. Now I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
